I'm going to do a short blog for anyone who wants to follow our trip to Vienna and Salzburg.
We flew from Allentown to D.C. on a tiny, bumpy plane. The flight from D.C. to Vienna was much better.. and we had an empty seat in our row, so we were able to stretch out. But neither one of us slept much on the 8 hour flight. I was actually awake until the pilot said "we're going to be landing in 10 minutes." The next thing I knew we were on the ground. Nat slept for less than an hour, during the exciting conclusion of the Game Show Network documentary “Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal" which I brought with us.

Here's our hotel, the K+K Maria Theresia:

We had to wait a while for our room to be ready, so we walked around town for a while. Our first meal in Austria was pizza.. in an Italian restaurant. The waiter confused us by speaking Italian... but Nat confused him right back by accidentally speaking Spanish.
Then we went to a grocery store called "Zeilpunkt." It was pretty awesome.
These were delicious:
After finally checking in and taking a nap, we went to a pub called "Centimeter" for dinner. But we couldn't figure out what to to order:
There were only two things written in English on the menu, so that's what we got. Nat ordered hot wings, and I got the "assorted finger food." (it turned out to be wings, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and fries.) It was all very good, and so was the beer.
OK, that's it for now. More tomorrow...
